Wednesday Morning 9:45 am

Thanks to all for good wishes and prayers. Ruth said she had a good night sleeping on and off. We are waiting right now for the big activity of the day- a walk up and down the hall. She is waiting to pass some gas so she can eat some food or drink anything. She still has a nasal tube down her throat so she is not able to talk much as it is painful. Other than that we are watching TV, reading comments to her and she is in and out of sleep. Thanks much for your prayers!

  2. Hey Ruth, Sarah and Bob,
How was that stroll down the hall?! Things are all relative...so taking a quick walk is really great, truly. Glad that your two, very competent "crutches" are available to support you in a myriad of ways. Do very much wish I was there as well. Can't really say how many times I focused on your lovely face, great smile and laugh-but many. You are with us all Ruth; we are sending prayers, good karma, smiles and many assorted forms of support and greetings to you so take a minute and "feel" all these goodies being sent to you. We love you and know that each day you are going to feel better and better. Ask one of those two who are walking about in a brisk fashion to go rent/buy you a fun DVD or book on tape. I will "talk" with you tomorrow and thank you again for your generous and encouraging guidance on Monday. Hi also to Sarah and Bob! Anything we can send down to you?

  6. Ruth,
I quickly scanned the document emailed by Jason Glass items which outlined the items discussed at negotiations and I wanted to thank you again for all your hard work;they did discuss all the items you wanted brought forward. WAY TO GO RUTH!!! It was decided that issues which involve money will be tabled until the district has a better idea of the financial impact of this recession, so these items will be on the the Spring negotiations list. They did look at how to reducing class size (one recommendation was to consider no pay raises-yeah right), the effect of master, mentor and cluster on the whole picture of cost and instructional needs, and the 8 hour a day for 40 hr a week employees. You may be just shaking your head that I even sent this-but I wanted to let you know that your good works make a difference! Waiting to hear what movie you all watched last night and how many times you got to stroll the hall! Sarah and Bob-how's living with 2 little kids again?!!!!! Love and thinking of you all the time.
