Ruth went to be with the Lord yesterday morning about 7:30. She died peacefully at home in no pain with my dad and I.
We are set on food, we just ask that you spend time with your families and live life to the fullest as Ruth always did. If you think of a friend that you have not spoken to in a long time, give them a call and tell them how much they mean to you.

Thank you so very very much for all of your prayers and support throughout this nearly 5 year journey we couldn't have done it without you.

Bob, Sarah and Ruth in spirit.

Ruth's Memorial will be on Thursday May 12 at 4pm at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel. For any other information please see her Obit in the Vail Daily on Monday May 9th or see link below:

  3. Ruth will be greatly missed. I teach at Eagle Valley High School & have known Ruth for the past 15 years. She did so much for our district & our professional association. She was an amazing woman-simply the best. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Please accept my deepest condolences on the death of your beloved wife and mother.
    With sympathy,
    Nicole Dewell, ECSD teacher

  4. We all learned so much from Ruth. I'm so grateful to have had these years to get to know her. An angel. Truly, we are blessed to have had her in our lives.

  5. Sarah & Bob,
The Baxter Family spent yesterday together praising and rejoicing Ruth's life. She has given us a guide to live everyday to the fullest, and we are thankful to have known her.

    God Bless

  7. We have been following Ruth's (and the whole family's) courageous fight through the Davis clan in Atlanta. We are so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing, but take comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering. We know that she will be deeply missed, but that she has also left an indelible mark on everyone she met, and the world is a better place because of her. We hope that you can take comfort in the fact that hers was a well-lived life and her legacy will live on--even through those who knew her only distantly. May the Lord grant you peace and comfort.

    Susie and Tere Tomlinson

  8. Bob,

I was saddened to hear your loss of Ruth. Few people on this earth have her gentle spirit; I know she will be missed by many.
